Ruble Down to 1,742

The ruble lost six points against the dollar during trading Wednesday on the Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange, closing at 1,742 per dollar. Net trading volume, which does not include compulsory dollar sales from export revenues, was $23.45 million, with initial supply of $56.5 million and initial demand for $63.15 million. Fifty-five banks took part in the trade.


The ruble lost four points against the Deutsche mark, closing at 1,033 per mark compared to 1,029 on Tuesday.
