Packers Clobber Bears

CHICAGO () -- Edgar Bennett scored three touchdowns to lead the Green Bay Packers to a 33-6 win over the Bears in a driving rainstorm.

Bennett ran 105 yards while scoring three TDs for the first time in his career and surpassing the 100-yard mark for just the second. Brett Favre, who did not complete a pass until midway through the third quarter, capped a spectacular 36-yard touchdown run with a dive into the end zone from the two-yard line that made it 14-0 with just over four minutes left in the first half.

A crowd of 47,381 braved the horrific conditions, but 19,563 tickets to the sold-out game were unused, and the only chance Windy City fans had to celebrate was at halftime when, the uniforms of former Bears greats Gale Sayers (number 40) and Dick Butkus (51) were retired.
