Former prime minister and the head of Russia's Parnas opposition party, Mikhail Kasyanov, said Tuesday that a leading member of his party had been kidnapped in Moscow.
In a Facebook post, Kasyanov said that Mikhail Konev ?€” the head of the party's youth wing ?€” was forced into a car by three unidentified men as he was leaving a military draft commission building in northern Moscow. A photograph of the kidnappers' car was also posted.
According to Kasyanov, 23-year old Mikhail Konev was requested to come to the military draft commission and was accompanied by his lawyer. The kidnap took place minutes after the visit.
Kasyanov said the party demands an immediate investigation and has called on authorities to secure Konev's release.
