Oil Output Plummets

MOSCOW -- Russia's oil output fell by 15.2 percent in the first five months of 1994 from the same period a year earlier, but the country's oil exports increased by 10.5 percent, Itar-Tass reported Wednesday. The news agency quoted a Fuel and Energy Ministry's report as saying that Russia produced 124.4 million tons of oil and exported 36.8 million tons in the first five months of the year. Russian state oil company Rosneft accounted for 62 percent of total output, pumping 77.6 million tons.
