Oil Decline Eases

MOSCOW () -- Russia's Yukos oil company, one of the country's biggest producers, said Friday the decline in Russian crude-oil output was continuing but signs of stabilization had emerged.


"I cannot say that the fall in oil output in Russia has stopped. Unfortunately that process is still continuing," Yukos president Sergei Muravlenko told a news conference. He said there had been some stabilization this year at Yuganskneftegaz, the main production unit of the Yukos conglomerate.
