HERMOSILLO, Mexico () -- Norway's Tore Torgersen and Anne Jacobs of South Africa won the AMF World Cup tenpin bowling championships in Hermosillo, Mexico, but not without a captivating struggle. The final between Torgersen and second seeded Mohamed Khalifa of the UAE was not decided until the final ball, when Torgersen rolled a strike to clinch the crown with 217 to the former champion's 212.
In the women's competition, Anne Jacobs, 40, of Johannesburg beat defending champion Lucy Giovinco 226-204.
