A total of 30 composting toilet facilities will be added to Moscow metro stations for public use, the Moskva news agency reported Thursday, citing Andrei Kruzhalin, spokesman for the head of the Moscow metro.
?€?We are now monitoring the stations, inspecting places for the possible installation of free toilets,?€? Kruzhalin was quoted as saying by the news agency.
He added that the toilets would be installed at those stations where there is the greatest demand, and that the additions would not disturb the historical appearance of the stations.
The first public toilet in the Moscow metro was opened in September 2015 at the Prospekt Mira station, but this initial toilet was closed two months later, Moskva reported.
