Moscow Cold Claims 3

MOSCOW () -- Three people froze to death overnight on Moscow's icy streets, bringing the toll of December's hypothermia victims to 42, Interfax reported Tuesday. Six more people were hospitalized for exposure.

All of the victims were drunk, the agency said, quoting the Moscow Health Department.

Temperatures hit a low of minus 25.5 degrees Celsius on Dec. 19. This week has been much milder, with Tuesday's low of minus 4 degrees Celsius, but there are still reports of death from exposure almost everyday in Moscow.
