Kazakh Crash Kills One

ALMATY, Kazakhstan () -- A helicopter carrying 15 passengers, including seven foreigners, has crashed in the mountains close to Kazakhstan's capital Almaty, killing a pilot, a local newspaper said Tuesday.

The newspaper quoted Interior Ministry officials as saying the foreigners, whose nationality was not given, had been visiting Kazakhstan for an oil and gas exhibition. None of the foreigners was seriously injured.

One of four pilots of the Russian-made Mi-8T died from injuries at the site of the Sunday crash. A local woman, a child and a second pilot were in the hospital, the paper said.
