GE's Russian Turbines

MOSCOW () -- Russian aircraft engine maker Rybinsk Motors has signed a framework agreement with a division of U.S. industrial giant General Electric to produce gas turbines for the Russian energy industry, the U.S. company announced Thursday.


The two companies will also consider joint production of GE-designed aircraft engines and parts at Rybinsk's facilities, according to a company statement.


GE joins European industrial firms ABB and Siemens in setting up turbine production with a Russian partner.
