LONDON -- Frenchman Guy Forget continued his comeback from injury by landing the Beckenham grasscourt title with a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Britain's Jeremy Bates in the final. Forget was playing in only his second tournament after a 14-month absence because of knee problems. Forget started the final just 30 minutes after a tough semifinal in which he beat Australian Jason Stoltenberg 6-3, 6-7, 7-6. Forget, who has slipped to 1,175 in the world, said: "I need to work on my mobility and footwork. Overall I'm happy with my progress."
