LOS ANGELES -- A more sedate version of "Fernandomania" revisited Dodger Stadium when Fernando Valenzuela returned to the scene of his greatest glory in a Philadelphia Phillies baseball uniform. While a sellout crowd of more than 54,000 welcomed an old friend and hero in Valenzuela, the Dodgers were not so kind. Orel Hershiser beat his former teammate in the Dodgers' 3-1 victory on Sunday. Valenzuela (0-1) lasted six innings before being lifted for pinch-hitter Jim Eisenreich, who grounded into an inning-ending double play with the bases loaded. Valenzuela gave up two runs and six hits, struck out one and walked none in his second start for the Phillies Hershiser (5-4) gave up four hits and an unearned run in seven innings, striking out two and walking four.
