Explosion Investigated

MANILA, Philippines ) -- Investigators have ruled out mechanical trouble as the cause of an explosion that killed a passenger on a Philippine Airlines flight to Tokyo, the airline said Tuesday.


Japanese and Filipino aviation authorities are still investigating whether sabotage caused the blast, which occurred Sunday. The explosion forced the plane to make an emergency landing on Okinawa in southern Japan.
