Egypt Militant Killings

CAIRO () -- Suspected Moslem militants have killed a 7-year-old girl, a British tourist and an Egyptian policeman in southern Egypt in one of the bloodiest days this month in their battle to overthrow the government.

Security sources said Monday that 10 other people were wounded in the two separate attacks Sunday.

They said three gunmen opened fire on a police patrol late Sunday, killing one policeman and wounding six others, including the girl who was shot in the head.

Earlier on Sunday, suspected militants killed a British tourist and wounded three, along with their Egyptian driver, raking with machine-gun fire the minibus taking them to a pharaonic temple in the southern province of Qena.
