Canucks Keep Lumme

VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- Defenseman Jyrki Lumme has signed a multiyear contract with the Vancouver Canucks, the National Hockey League team said. Lumme, who signed on Tuesday, had 13 goals and 42 assists last season. He also accounted for 13 points -- two goals and 11 assists -- in the playoffs. The native of Finland has played for Vancouver for four seasons after being acquired from the Montreal Canadiens in March 1990.
