Aluminum Sector Will Reduce Output

xLeaders of Russia's troubled aluminum sector promised Monday to cut output this year in line with an international deal to reduce world production. Georgy Volfson, a top official from producers' group Aluminy, attending a Metal Bulletin conference in Moscow, said 1994 production was likely to fall by over a quarter of a million tons from 1993 levels of 2.8 million, but exports would remain around last year's level of 2.14 million tons.
