Aluminum Data Secret

MOSCOW -- A top Russian official said Tuesday that Moscow planned to keep aluminum output data secret for now, but would release figures once it met world accounting standards. "As soon as Russian accounting methods meet international standards, our data will be published regularly," said Sergei Znamensky, head of foreign economic relations at Aluminiy producers' group, "but so far our statistics lag the real situation."
