Kaliningrad: A Russian Satellite

Originally part of the Prussian Empire and Germany, the Kaliningrad region is a Russian exclave that is essentially surrounded by Europe. Our intrepid photographer Vladimir Filonov recently visited this strange mix of old European castles, weathered Soviet architecture and contemporary Russian society and has shared a few shots from his trip with us.
