Rostelecom Q2 Profit Falls 31%

Russian state telecoms operator Rostelecom said on Thursday its second-quarter net profit from ongoing operations fell 31 percent, year-on-year, to 6.1 billion rubles ($168 million).

The company also said its sales from ongoing operations were up 2 percent, year-on-year, to 72.6 billion rubles. (Reuters)

Phosagro First Half Profits Grow 70%

Russian fertilizer company Phosagro said on Thursday its first-half net profit rose 70 percent, year-on-year, to 8.1 billion rubles ($231 million).

Phosagro, one of the world's largest producers of phosphate fertilizers, said revenue rose 6 percent year-on-year to $1.6 billion. (Reuters)
