Belarusian Potash Company, a trader representing Russian and Belarussian producers, may sell the soil nutrient to China at $350 per metric ton, including freight costs, two people familiar with the matter said Tuesday.
The trader, also known as BPC, plans to sign a supply contract with China on Wednesday, said the sources, who declined to be identified because the talks are private. BPC expects to supply 1 million tons of potash to China in 2010 and start deliveries early next year, they said.
Filipp Gritskov, a spokesman for BPC, declined to comment.
