Overnight Ukrainian drone attacks killed four people in southwestern Russia’s Belgorod region, one in the Lipetsk region and damaged an industrial site in the Perm region of the Ural Mountains, officials said Sunday.
In the city of Belgorod near the Russian border with Ukraine, an attack killed three people and injured 13, said Belgorod regional governor Alexander Shuvayev.
The overnight attack on Belgorod damaged 30 apartment buildings, 35 cars, four houses, three administrative buildings, eight commercial premises and three social facilities, Shuvayev said.
In a separate incident on Sunday morning, one person was killed and another injured when a Ukrainian drone struck a car in the village of Voznesenovka near the town of Shebekino, local authorities said.
A drone attack on Russia's Perm region damaged an industrial facility, injuring five of its workers, regional governor Dmitry Makhonin said on Sunday.
Emergency services were at the scene and the injured people received the necessary medical help, he said on the state-backed MAX messaging app without providing further detail on the nature of the damage.
Meanwhile, Russia’s Defense Ministry said that its drones had struck a cargo vessel bound for the Black Sea port of Chornomorsk during an overnight attack.
The ministry said the vessel was being used to supply the Ukrainian army.
Russian forces also hit a logistics center, a distribution center and a logistics terminal in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv. The ministry said the facilities had been used for storage and distribution of dual-use cargo for the Ukrainian military.
Reuters could not independently verify the Defense Ministry's information.
Later on Sunday, southwestern Russia's Lipetsk region Governor Igor Artamonov said a Ukrainian missile strike on an industrial zone in the city of Yelets killed a security guard and injured a paramedic.
Artamonov said the security guard worked at one of the industrial facilities located on the site. The paramedic at the medical center was taken to hospital, where she was receiving the necessary treatment, the governor said.
The governor did not identify the facility that was hit in the strike.
Reuters could not independently verify the report. There was no immediate comment from Ukraine.
A Message from The Moscow Times:
Dear readers,
We are facing unprecedented challenges. Russia's Prosecutor General's Office has designated The Moscow Times as an "undesirable" organization, criminalizing our work and putting our staff at risk of prosecution. This follows our earlier unjust labeling as a "foreign agent."

We, the journalists of The Moscow Times, refuse to be silenced. But to continue our work, we need your help.
