Pifagor – Modern Greek Cuisine

A new Greek restaurant Pifagor (Pythagoras) has recently opened in Moscow. Pifagor belongs to Alexander Rapport Restaurant Company which also includes Voronesh and Dr Zhivago, restaurants we like a lot.
Pifagor
We came to Pifagor for lunch and we fell in love with their delicious, modern Mediterranean kitchen. For starters we shared hummus, tzatziki which we accompanied with a yummy flat bread and a classical Greek salad. It was very tasty, nicely presented and it felt very fresh. Our main course consisted of grilled octopus and sauteed spinach topped with roasted pine nuts. The mains were to die for and the service was good taking in consideration that we were there in their first couple of weeks after opening. So now we have a list to try out from this menu as it was so good.
To be honest the restaurant's setting felt a little bit pretentious upon our arrival. The hostesses wearing white Greek tunics, contrast between black and gold, statues of Olymp gods etc. As a rule we prefer more simple setting. But we now think that the interior can be quite spectacular for a dinner visit. And we definitely plan a dinner soon!

Enjoy!

A Message from The Moscow Times:

Dear readers,

We are facing unprecedented challenges. Russia's Prosecutor General's Office has designated The Moscow Times as an "undesirable" organization, criminalizing our work and putting our staff at risk of prosecution. This follows our earlier unjust labeling as a "foreign agent."

These actions are direct attempts to silence independent journalism in Russia. The authorities claim our work "discredits the decisions of the Russian leadership." We see things differently: we strive to provide accurate, unbiased reporting on Russia.

We, the journalists of The Moscow Times, refuse to be silenced. But to continue our work, we need your help.

Your support, no matter how small, makes a world of difference. If you can, please support us monthly starting from just $2. It's quick to set up, and every contribution makes a significant impact.

By supporting The Moscow Times, you're defending open, independent journalism in the face of repression. Thank you for standing with us.
