Russian Airline Stewardess Falls From Plane Onto Runway at Dubai Airport

A Ural Airlines stewardess on Monday fell out of an aircraft onto the runway at an airport in Dubai after a catering truck smashed into the plane.

The woman was rushed to the hospital where she underwent an operation. She is currently in a stable condition, an airline spokesman told Interfax.

The spokesman for the airline said the damage to the Airbus A321 was "significant" and that passengers were being transferred to a reserve aircraft.

The flight from Dubai to Perm has been delayed by nearly 12 hours. It was originally scheduled for takeoff at 5:55 a.m. local time.
