Putin Sees Generator Orders

Russian companies plan to spend 3.1 trillion rubles ($111 billion) in the next three years on orders for energy-generating equipment, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said during a government meeting in St. Petersburg on Friday.

The government may introduce tax breaks, customs measures and incentives for investments to spur production in the industry, Putin said, adding that Russian manufacturers account for 2 percent of the global market.
