Baturina Loses NTV Lawsuit

The Moscow Arbitration Court has thrown out a defamation suit against NTV television filed by billionaire Yelena Baturina's real estate developer Inteko, Interfax reported.

The company of Baturina, wife of former Mayor Yury Luzhkov, sued over a September documentary that criticized Luzhkov over his ties to Inteko.

Inteko representatives promised to appeal Tuesday's ruling.

Another defamation suit by the company, concerning a separate statement by NTV, is scheduled for review next Wednesday.
