3 Million Illegal Migrants

There are currently 3 million to 3.5 million illegal migrants living in the country, the first deputy head of the Federal Migration Service, Mikhail

Tyurkin, said at a news conference Tuesday, RIA-Novosti reported.

He said there were 10 million illegal migrants in the country in 2001, when the Federal Migration Service was formed, and 5 million in 2005.
