Cow Derails Army Train

A train car transporting armored personnel carriers for the military was derailed in Dagestan after the locomotive hit a cow, RIA-Novosti reported, citing the local branch of the Emergency Situations Ministry.

Only the first of the 48 train cars was derailed. No one was injured, and no equipment was damaged in the incident Monday, the report said. The train resumed its trip in three hours, without causing any rail traffic disruptions. The fate of the cow was unclear.
