Food Poisoning Investigated

The Investigative Committee has begun a check into an incident in the republic of Altai, where 14 school students were briefly hospitalized with stomach flu, RIA-Novosti reported Tuesday.

The Federal Consumer Protection Service linked the poisonings in the city of Novoaltaisk to food served Sunday in the school cafeteria. The service cited serious breaches of safety regulations during food storage and transportation.

No criminal cases into the incident in Novoaltaisk have been opened so far, the report said.
