Rusnano is in advanced talks to take control of British display screen maker Plastic Logic, the Financial Times said Monday.
State-owned Rusnano was in talks with privately owned Plastic to buy a significant stake in the high-tech firm — on condition that it relocate the next phase of its development to Russia, the newspaper said.
Rusnano's director of international affairs, Alexander Losyukov, told Ekho Moskvy radio that the group was looking into Plastic Logic.
"This information is new to us; it is being checked. Our managing director is in London right now, and he is working on the project," Losyukov said.
Plastic Logic makes screens that could be used in the fast-growing e-book market. It was founded in 2000 in the technology research hub of Cambridge, England, but has its main manufacturing facility in Germany.
