Wrong on Shannon

Editor: There is no basis for the statement in your editorial published Thursday ("Skies Both Unfriendly and Unsafe") that Shannon Airport in Ireland is threatening to cut off landing rights for Aeroflot. The airline, and its successor, Russian International Airlines, have been using Shannon Airport for 20 years without accident or incident. Patrick McCabe Ambassador of Ireland Moscow
