Sarajevo Airlift Resumes

n GENEVA () -- The international airlift resumed Tuesday to Sarajevo, where food supplies have been dwindling over the last four weeks, the United Nations said.


Sylvana Foa, spokeswoman for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, said 15 flights were scheduled during the day.


The lifeline was suspended after an attack on an airplane on Aug. 11.


Some 200 tons of food are needed a day to feed the city's 400,000 residents.
