Russian Skaters Win

BUDAPEST, Hungary () -- Defending champions Maria Petrova and Anton Sikharulidze won the pairs' short program Tuesday at the World Junior Figure Skating Championships.


The Russian duo led the field despite Petrova's stumble while performing the last of the compulsory elements, the back-outside death spiral. In second place were the American sister-brother pair of Danielle and Steve Hartsell, who lost points when their side-by-side spins were slightly out of unison.
