KAMPALA, Uganda () -- A policeman fired at post-Christmas revelers in a western Uganda town, killing 12 people and seriously wounding 15, state radio reported Wednesday.
The policeman was arrested shortly after the Monday night killings inside a disco at Kamwenge trading center, about 300 kilometers from Uganda's capital, Kampala. Witnesses said the officer got into an argument with one of the young revelers before opening fire with a rifle.
