Page on Tabloid's Website Added to List of Extremist Materials

The Justice Ministry has added a page on Moskovsky Komsomolets' website to the federal list of extremist materials over a comment left by a reader in 2011.

The comment has been removed from the site, but a saved Google cache of the page shows that reader Viktor Tikhomirov had explained how to inflict a deadly injury on a police officer who is wearing full riot gear, Lenta.ru reported Thursday.

In October, a court in Tula ruled that Tikhomirov's comment on the article "Moscow Rally to Be Led by Chulpan Khamatova and Alexei Devotchenko" was extremist.

The ministry compiles the list on the basis of court rulings.

Access to Moskovsky Komsomolets' website was blocked on Thursday afternoon, but normal service was resumed later.
