Moscow came in thirty-eighth place in a global ranking of the world's best city for students in 2013 and 2014.

The study, conducted by Quacquarelli Symonds, selected 50 out of 98 cities with populations of over 250,000 and two or more institutions on QS's list of the world's best universities.

The top 50 cities were then ranked according to the quality of the city's universities, their popularity among employers, the variety of students, quality of life and affordability.

The Russian capital shares its thirty-eighth place with Los Angeles and Adelaide, the same threesome that tied for thirty-seventh place in 2012.

Paris, London, and Singapore topped the list, which also saw Sydney and Zurich make the top five.
