Gaidar, Yavlinsky Split on Strategy
The latest bickering began when Yegor Gaidar, head of the largest faction in parliament, attacked the Yabloko reform faction for allegedly insisting that any democratic alliance be based on opposition to President Boris Yeltsin.

He said his faction placed no ultimatums on democrats opposing Yeltsin, but made it clear his group will do so if the president doesn't carry out "further democratization."
