French Tourists Freed

SAN'A, Yemen () -- A group of French tourists freed by tribesmen who held them captive in Yemen's remote mountains returned to San'a on Monday saying it had been a nice adventure.

Interior Minister Hussein Arab told the official Yemeni news agency Saba that four of the kidnappers have been arrested and will stand trial.

Authorities had threatened to attack the captors from the Al Aslam tribe if they failed to free the French tourists by midnight Sunday. In the end, an agreement was reached to release them early Monday.
