Vladimir Spivakov, the renowned violinist and conductor of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia, celebrates his 60th birthday this Sunday. He marks the round date with a gala concert in the Conservatory Great Hall, featuring his orchestra and the Moscow Virtuosi chamber ensemble, founded by Spivakov in 1979. The Albanian soprano Inva Mula also performs. The program will include Pyotr Tchaikovsky's overture to "Romeo and Juliet" and arias from Mozart operas.
