The Kremlin has denied that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s schedule has been cancelled for the rest of the week, the Interfax news agency reported Wednesday.
Presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov maintained that only the President’s confirmed events are officially announced.
“Nothing has been cancelled. We consider a large number of events and visits for the President but we only announce those which have been confirmed,” Peskov said.
Media reports claimed Wednesday that Putin had cancelled three scheduled trips to Altai, Yakutia and Novgorod this week, but the Kremlin press office said that none had been officially confirmed, Interfax reported.
Putin has not appeared in public since an official visit to Finland last week.
