Hillary Clinton: New 'Reset' Possible in U.S.-Russian Relationship

Jim Young / Reuters

A new "reset" in the U.S.-Russian relationship is possible, "depending on what the U.S. will get for it," former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said during a televised Democratic Party presidential debate on Sunday.

Answering a journalist's question on her relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Democratic presidential contender Clinton described it as "interesting" and "respectful."

However, she noted that they had had some "very tough dealings with each other."

Clinton also characterized Putin as a "bully" and claimed that it is necessary to continually stand up to him.

In June last year, Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush also called Putin a bully and said that the U.S. and Europe must respond to Russian aggression, according to Reuters.
