Russian Top Model Natalia Vodianova Makes Forbes' Highest-Paid List

Russia's Natalia Vodianova has placed joint-fifth on Forbes magazine's list of the highest-paid models of 2014.

The 32-year-old Vodianova pulled in an estimated $4 million before taxes and fees between June 2013 to June 2014, Forbes reported Monday. The magazine used income from cosmetics, endorsements, advertising and fragrance deals to compile its ranking.

The Russian model has to share her position on the list with other household names such as Carolyn Murphy, Karlie Kloss and Jourdan Dunn, who also all made $4 million in the past 12 months.

Vodianova, who did not feature on Forbes' 2013 list but placed third the year before, has recently extended a lucrative deal with fashion house Calvin Klein. She also has a line with European lingerie makers Etam, Forbes reported.

In addition to her fashion commitments, the mother-of-four is known for her activism outside the world of fashion.

Nominated for The Moscow Times' "Humanitarian of the Year" Award in 2013, Vodianova is heavily involved in the Naked Heart Foundation — a charity she founded in 2004 that aims to improve the lives of Russian children. The charity has built more than 100 playgrounds across Russia in the past eight years.

Meanwhile, Brazil's Gisele B?ndchen — herself something of a philanthropist — topped the Forbes' list of highest-paid models for the eighth-year running.

According to Forbes, B?ndchen earned an estimated $47 million over the 12-month period — a full $39 million more than her nearest rivals, fellow Brazilian Adriana Lima and Dutch model Doutzen Kroes.

Other noticeable names on the list included Britain's Kate Moss and Australia's Miranda Kerr, both of whom earned an estimated $7 million over the 12-month period.
