Several Moscow movie theaters will screen the finale of the sixth season of the popular American “Game of Thrones” fantasy series, the state-run TASS news agency reported Tuesday.
The Karo and Strelka theaters will screen the episode on June 27, at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. respectively. The free screenings will be in English with Russian subtitles, according to Amediateka, the show's Russian distributor.
Those wishing to attend the Strelka screening must complete registration on the theater's website.
The episode, entitled “Winds of Winter” after the upcoming sixth novel in author George R.R. Martin's series “A Song of Ice and Fire,” is the longest in the show's history at 69 minutes.
Attendees of the screening at Strelka will be able to purchase ice cream in the form of character Jon Snow's head, the Lenta news website reported.
The HBO original series “Game of Thrones” is one of the most expensive American television shows of all time. Since the premier of its first season in April 2011, the show has collected 26 Emmy awards.
