2 U.S. Nationals Wounded in Moscow Robbery – Report

Two unidentified U.S. nationals were hospitalized after being stabbed during a break-in at their apartment in Moscow, the TASS news agency reported Wednesday, citing law enforcement sources.

The incident took place at about 1 p.m. on Wednesday in southern Moscow, according to TASS.

The assailants forced their way into the apartment of the Americans after apparently waiting outside their building, where they stabbed the 48-year-old man four times and stabbed his 34-year old wife in the chest and arm, sensationalist news agency LifeNews reported Wednesday, citing unidentified law enforcement officers.

The attackers then took out money from the apartment in bags, according to LifeNews.

The U.S. man was born in Afghanistan and had lived in India before moving to Moscow to run his business, LifeNews reported.
