The V-6 Osoaviakhim in the 1930s.

76 years ago today, on Oct. 4, 1937, the Soviet airship V6 Osoaviakhim, carrying 16 crew members, set a world record for the longest flight. The airship flew for 130 hours and 27 minutes, beating the previous record by the Graf Zeppelin.
