Gazprom will develop the market for gas motor fuel in the Far East, the company's deputy chief, Vitaly Markelov, told the press.
"The government has adopted a resolution that every filling station now should be a sales point for gas [liquefied and compressed]. We are signing with the regions the pertinent agreements. Those regions that are taking part in gasification, including the Far East, have in the agreements a section on the development of the gas motor fuel market. Gazprom is obligated to sell a chain of filling complexes and the regions to actively gasify their transport and acquire automobiles that run on gas," Markelov said, Interfax reported.
Gazprom has signed agreements with almost all automakers in Russia for the production of gas-powered vehicles, Markelov said.
