Another suspect was arrested Wednesday on charges of participating in clashes with riot police at a May 6 opposition rally, the Investigative Committee said Wednesday.
The suspect, Ilya Guschin, is accused of grabbing a policeman by his uniform and preventing him from detaining another participant of the rally, committee spokesman Vladimir Markin told Interfax.
Eleven activists currently remain in pretrial detention for allegedly taking part in the violence. The Investigative Committee says it has evidence that clashes were instigated by opposition activists.
On Friday, members of the Kremlin's human rights council said they believe the violence was provoked by the police.
