Deceived Investors Will Get Own Building

A new building for people cheated by dishonest developers will be built in the northwest part of the city, on 1st Tushinsky Proezd, city authorities said.

A five-story apartment block that was built in 1940 and has been partially condemned now occupies the site. But 19 of the original 50 families are still living there.

City officials say they will be relocated this year, the building will be razed, and new construction will begin.

As the only remaining independent, English-language news source reporting from Russia, The Moscow Times plays a critical role in connecting Russia to the world.

Editorial decisions are made entirely by journalists in our newsroom, who adhere to the highest ethical standards.
