The city of Moscow's transportation department will submit a draft regulation introducing a fee for the recovery of illegally parked vehicles, Vedomosti reported Monday, citing several City Hall sources.
Towing will cost 5,000 rubles ($160), while the first day of storage at a tow yard will be free. After that, vehicle owners will have to pay 1,000 rubles per day.
Currently, there are no fees for towing and the first day of storage. The second and third days cost 40 rubles per hour, and the fourth and subsequent days cost 80 rubles per hour.
