Mytishchi Gets a FunkyTown

The Regions Group has signed a contract to lease space in the newly built June shopping center in Mytishchi, outside Moscow, to the Dubai-based Amusement Services International's FunkyTown chain of amusement parks to open its first park in the area.

The first FunkyTown park in Russia opened in Novosibirsk last year. The Mytishchi park is due to open in July.

FunkyTown in Mytishchi will have an area of 1,800 square meters and 90 machines and rides. June has a total area of 178,000 square meters, anchored by an O'Kei hypermarket and Media Markt electronics and home appliances store.
