Sky Express Decertified

The Federal Air Transportation Agency canceled the operating certificate of carrier Nebesny Express, which operates under the brand Sky Express, Interfax reported.

"The certificate was annulled on Oct. 31 due to deterioration in production figures and the financial and economic state of the operator's activities," the regulator said.

Kuban Airlines, which currently is in the process of an operational merger with Sky Express, has been performing all of the discounter's regular and charter flights since Oct. 30. Sky Express increased passenger throughput 10.5 percent to 942,300 people in January-

September 2011.
